I worked on creating a write up for the Elo and Bradley-Terry model and how they are the same model based on we parameterized Bradley-Terry model. One difference however is that Bradley-Terry mode is offline and Elo model is online. I then describe how I used AI to create https://ed-yahska.xyz/projects-showcase/elo/web/index.html which uses Bradley-Terry to assign strength to world cup team based on historical data. This score is later floored and we then use Elo to bring forth user picks for teams to influence who they think will win among closely ranked teams and later this is used to predict the World Cup 2026 tournament using this ranking.
